Toby Kaye
Founder & CEO
Toby founded Thryve with a simple goal: give small business owners the kind of financial insight and support that traditional accounting firms often overlook.
With more than a decade of experience in public accounting, he combines deep technical expertise with an entrepreneurial mindset, helping clients move beyond compliance and toward smarter, more strategic decision-making.
At Thryve, Toby works closely with clients on financial strategy, profitability, and long-term planning, serving as a true partner in their growth.
Outside of work, Toby enjoys spending time with his family in the beautiful Metroparks around Cleveland.
Susan
Lead Tax Strategist
Susan brings deep experience in tax planning and compliance, with a career that spans Big 4 firms as well as family businesses and real estate partnerships.
She holds both a BS and Master of Accounting from Miami University and has also spent time as an adjunct faculty member, sharing her knowledge with the next generation of accountants.
At Thryve, Susan focuses on the bigger picture, helping clients understand not just their taxes, but how those taxes fit into their overall financial strategy. She works closely with clients on mid-year and year-end projections, identifying opportunities before it’s too late to act.
Outside of work, you’ll likely find her running or hiking local trails, at a yoga class, or cheering on her kids at their latest sporting event.
Amanda
Lead Bookkeeper
Amanda leads Thryve’s bookkeeping function, bringing structure, consistency, and clarity to clients’ financial data.
With a background in accounting and experience managing multiple client workflows, she ensures that books are accurate, organized, and delivered on time, every time.
At Thryve, Amanda plays a key role in building the financial foundation our clients rely on, turning day-to-day transactions into clean, reliable reporting.
Outside of work, she enjoys watching baseball and spending time with her cat.
Magda
Staff Accountant
Magda works closely with clients to maintain accurate financial records, provide clear insights, and support both business and individual tax preparation.
She holds a Master’s degree in Taxation from the University of Akron and brings a strong background in operations and client service from her previous leadership role in banking. That experience shows up in how she communicates: clear, organized, and always focused on the client.
At Thryve, Magda helps clients stay organized, compliant, and informed so they can make better financial decisions with confidence.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family, especially her two kids who keep her on her toes.
Mike
Staff Accountant
Mike brings a disciplined, analytical approach to accounting, backed by his degree in accounting from Cleveland State University, where he graduated summa cum laude.
Before entering the accounting world, Mike spent over a decade working his way up in the restaurant industry, eventually becoming an assistant general manager. That experience gives him a practical understanding of operations, costs, and what it takes to run a business day-to-day.
At Thryve, Mike supports clients with accurate financial reporting and detail-oriented analysis, helping ensure their numbers are reliable and actionable.
Outside of work, he’s a die-hard Cleveland sports fan (especially the Guardians) and enjoys the strategy of a good chess match.
Kelly
Marketing Manager
Kelly is the voice behind Thryve’s brand, leading all marketing efforts, from content and messaging to overall strategy.
With experience in both agency and Fortune 500 environments, she focuses on making accounting more approachable, accessible, and helpful for small business owners.
At Thryve, Kelly helps translate complex financial concepts into clear, useful content that supports and educates clients at every stage.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, finding new playgrounds to explore with her toddler, and getting lost in a good book.
